Math Dice Chase from ThinkFun comes with 2 pairs of 12 sided dice and a carrying pouch. You need 4-6 people for this game, you start with the pairs of dice with people across from each other and start at the same time. They roll the dice and once they correctly multiply (or in younger variation, add) the two numbers together, they pass the dice to the person on their right. The object is to not let the other pair of dice catch up to you before you can correctly complete your roll. It’s a fun way to improve mental math skills.
The dice themselves are 12 sided and feel nice in your hand. They are larger than a normal 6 sided dice, a little smaller than a golf ball. The carrying pouch is nice for keeping the set together.
Kaelyn (4) is a little too young for this game, but we did play with the dice rolling them and talking about numbers and doing some addition. I’ll pull it out when she’s a few years older and do the real game with her.
