I really like this pH meter. It’s easy to calibrate (once you read the directions) because it is automatic. My old pH meter you had to mess with a tiny calibration screw in the back until you got both solutions to read correctly. This one, you just put it in the 6.86 solution, hold calibrate, rinse, put it in the 4.0 solution, hold calibrate then release and click it again short, rinse and then you are done. Not having to mess with that little screw is so much better. All the test solutions are included for the initial calibration.
This one also reads out to 2 decimals with a reported accuracy of 0.05 (my old one only read to .1). The display is also backlit for making it easier to read.
I use it to test the pH of Star San (used to sanitize cookware and brewery equipment) which needs to have a pH below 3 to be considered still good. I also use it for checking the pH of my fish pond.
Overall, it’s a nice improvement over my old pH meter and I really like it.
